Job Description 

Role Summary:   

As a Consulting Senior Analyst I, the candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing 

analytical strategies to solve complex business challenges for clients in the pharma/life sciences domain. 

This role demands active leadership in guiding and mentoring a team of analysts, fostering their 

professional growth and skill development.  

Essential Functions:   

Design and Execute Business strategy and solutions: 

  • Identify business needs and opportunities and collaborate with clients to develop business 

strategies based on data-driven insights and market intelligence 

  • Lead the development and delivery of solutions that provide critical insights through 

advanced quantitative analyses and data modeling 

  • Utilize and innovate with a range of analytical techniques and platforms to design 

comprehensive business solutions 

  • Develop and oversee project plans and execution strategies, aligning them with the 

organization’s strategic objectives 

  • Present analytical findings, recommendations, and insights to clients through reports, 

presentations, and workshops 

Solve unstructured business problems: 

  • Apply problem-solving frameworks to break down complex problems into manageable 

components and develop systematic approaches to address them 

  • Deliver business solutions aimed at minimizing the response time for analytical requests. 
  • Assess the potential risks and uncertainties associated with different solutions and develop 

contingency plans to mitigate them 

Manage Team and Mentor Junior Members: 

  • Guide and offer valuable feedback to junior team members, fostering both their personal and 

professional development in the team 

  • Train junior team members in necessary tools, technologies, and specific areas of expertise. 
  • Foster a culture of innovation within the team by encouraging experimentation, knowledge 

sharing, and creative problem-solving 

  • Assist in the hiring and orientation of new analysts, working under the supervision of the team 

leader 

Contribute to the Centre of Excellence (CoE): 

  • Collaborate with team members across functions to design and implement proof-of-concept 

(PoC) projects focused on enhancing analytics capabilities and developing innovative 

solutions. 

  • Lead efforts in researching and evaluating emerging technologies, tools, and industry trends 

to generate actionable insights and foster continuous improvement within the organization. 

  • Leverage healthcare and pharma datasets to identify patterns, trends, and actionable insights, 

contributing to the development of thought leadership materials and knowledge assets. 

  • Support the creation of reusable frameworks, methodologies, and templates based on project 

learnings to improve delivery efficiency and accelerate future implementations. 

  • Actively engage in knowledge-sharing sessions, promoting a culture of learning and 

collaboration across teams. 

The roles and responsibilities will continuously evolve based on project allocations and client 

requirements. 

Additional Functions:   

  • Continuously enhance professional skills by staying updated on emerging technologies, 

analytics methodologies, and industry best practices through self-learning, certifications, and 

participation in relevant forums. 

  • Contribute to thought leadership by creating knowledge assets such as white papers, case 

studies, or best practice guides, leveraging insights from projects and research. 

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process optimization 

and innovation, driving operational efficiencies and client value. 

  • Actively support business development activities by contributing to proposal creation, market 

research, and client presentations, showcasing the organization’s capabilities and expertise. 

  • Build strong client relationships by understanding their evolving needs, providing proactive 

recommendations, and delivering high-quality analytical solutions aligned with their business 

objectives. 

Candidate’s Profile  

Essential Qualifications: 

B-Tech. or B.E. in any engineering discipline or PG in Statistics/ Mathematics/ Operation Research or B.Sc. 

in Computer Science or a similar course. 

Experience: 

  • 2-4 years of relevant experience working on medium to large-scale business consulting 

engagements 

  • Exposure to Pharma / Healthcare Data and Analytics  
  • Proficiency in technical and analytical tools such as MS Office, SQL, Power BI, Tableau, R, 

Python, etc.) 

  • Deep understanding of database management, data modeling, and data integration 

techniques. 

  • Should have extensive experience in working on commercial analytics (segmentation, 

targeting, sales force effectiveness) 

  • Hands-on experience in analyzing IQVIA/SHS data (patient insights, MIDAS)  
  • Experience of managing/mentoring 5-7 team members while providing necessary 

mentorship/ guidance for the team’s growth 

  • Experience working in a client-facing role, with demonstrated ability to build rapport, 

manage expectations, and resolve conflicts effectively 

Good to have: 

  • Proficiency in Python, VBA, and visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, Qlik) 
  • Marketing analytics (market assessment, forecasting, competitive intelligence) 
  • Sales analytics expertise (sizing, structuring, segmentation)

  • Advanced project management capabilities, including planning, organizing, and executing 

tasks efficiently, while identifying and mitigating risks to ensure project success. 

  • In-depth understanding of commercial analytics, including segmentation, targeting, sales 

force effectiveness, and marketing analytics within the pharma/healthcare domain. 

  • Strong proficiency in data analytics tools such as SQL, Power BI, Tableau, R, Python, and a 

good grasp of database management, data modeling, and data integration techniques. 

  • Demonstrated ability to work in client-facing roles, building rapport, managing expectations, 

and delivering exceptional results under pressure.
